The whole recording process is very interesting (at least to us musicians), once the "tracking" is completed the tedious process of creating a final mix starts. This part can take almost as long as the recording process but is critical to get the songs sounding thier best. You try to record your parts to be perfect but the old saying about "fixing it in the mix" still applies. LOL. The final process is mastering, which takes the final mixes and prepares the product for release. This is where song order is defined, as well as, getting all the songs in the correct final formats. Basically, when all this is finished you end up with a hard drive with your digital album. So lots still left to do like: publishing, CD pressing, album cover and liner notes, release party, etc. Oh yeah, it needs a name too..Going to be a fun way to end summer.
Thanks to everyone for all the support,
